| Whose
Line Is It Anyway GETTING HIS ACT TOGETHER which means perfecting his long-winded dialogue is never a
problem for Days of Our Lives' Matthew Ashford. He relies on a
devoted pair of line-running partners. "One of them is Wayne
Heffley (ex-Vern Scofield [Note this came out in March of 02, Wayne
had yet to return])," reveals Ashford. "He has always been a
tremendous help. Sometimes, when I get huge amounts of [dialogue], I'll
call him and go, `Wayne, I'm dying here! Run some lines with me.' And
he does. It's very interesting especially when I've got love scenes
with Jennifer. Wayne has enjoyed reading Harold and Greta, but he really
loves [playing] Jennifer."Ashford's other helper is his 4-year-old daughter, Emma, "Although she doesn't read yet," the actor points out. "So I feed her her lines, then I say mine, and she delivers hers with the inflection she feels the character would have. Emma loves to do scenes. She loves to play Abigail. She even told me that she'd love to be Abigail. When I told her that Megan Corletto, who plays Abigail, might have some problems with that, Emma said, `Well, then, maybe we can share Abigail.' she knew the buzzword. |
