Jack and Frankie Escape. Jack Tries to Get
Jennifer to Leave with Him; She Tells Him
She Has Married Lawrence, and Wants to
Be with Him; Jack Is Hurt and Confused.

SCENE ONE: IT IS THE NEXT MORNING AND JENNIFER IS ASLEEP ON HER BED. SHE IS WEARING A ROBE AND IS ON TOP OF THE COVERS. SHE BEGINS TO DREAM.
JENNIFER: Jack.... no.
SHE IS DRESSED IN A WHITE NIGHTGOWN. SHE LIFTS HER HAND AND LOOKS AT HER WEDDING RING. JACK WALKS UP BEHIND HER DRESSED IN A TUX AND TAKES HER HAND. HE KISSES IT.
JENNIFER: I always knew you'd come.
JACK: Your wedding night is going to be with me and nobody else.
JENNIFER: I love you Jack.
JACK: And I love you.
THEY HOLD EACH OTHER CLOSE.
JACK: Jennifer.
SLOWLY THE VOICE CHANGES TO LAWRENCE'S.
LAWRENCE: Jennifer.
JENNIFER: Lawrence!
LAWRENCE: Of course, my dear, your husband.
JENNIFER: No. Oh no. Jack.
JACK NOW WALKS UP BEHIND HER.
JACK: Jennifer, it's just a nightmare. Lawrence is out of your life. We're married.
THEY BOTH SMILE AT EACH OTHER AND HUG.
JACK: We're going to be together forever.
THEN JACK'S VOICE TURNS INTO LAWRENCE'S.
LAWRENCE: We're going to be together forever.
JENNIFER: No, no.
SHE SLOWLY WAKES UP FROM HER DREAM TO FIND HERSELF SITTING ON THE BED WITH HER ARMS AROUND LAWRENCE.LAWRENCE: Bad dreams my darling.
SCENE TWO: DOWNSTAIRS JACK IS TALKING TO FRANKIE.
JACK: Francois?
FRANKIE: What Spanky?
JACK: Listen I've been thinking about this all night and I.... I.... I'm not sure this thing is going to work out.
FRANKIE: It's work out if you do it right, okay.
JACK: Alright, if you say so.
JACK TAKES OUT THE BLUEPRINT OF THE VILLA BUT DOES NOT TELL FRANKIE THAT HE HAS IT.
JACK: Alright going from my imagination and my expert memory, we go down out of the rooms, we take a right, and then another right, then a left.... right?
FRANKIE: Oh yeah.
JACK: And then we've got to get to a tunnel right. Then we've got to go down that tunnel and take a left and a right and a left and it brings us to the garage. And we go right out there.
FRANKIE: Right and that's where I'm going to borrow one of Alamain's cars, alright. Now there's a dirt path north of the villa, I'll meet you there and we'll go for help okay.
JACK: Are you sure.... are you sure this isn't too complicated? It sounds like it's too complicated.
FRANKIE: Do you always say things twice?
JACK: Well I'm used.... I'm just used to talking to somebody.... that's like, hard to get through to, if you know what I mean. Anyway, I.... tell me what you look like. I'd hate to get stuck talking to tourists and asking them if they'd just broken out of Lawrence's abode.
FRANKIE: Yeah well I don't know.... I'm medium. (Obviously exaggerating) Medium height, medium build, brown hair. What about you?
JACK: (Jack pegs him, and knows he is in fact short) You're short aren't you? Okay don't tell me. Alright, I'll tell you I'm.... I'm.... I've got chiseled features right. And.... ah.... oh I'm not exactly handsome but, you know, aristocratic and, well you know, kind of distinguished looking. Subtly so, not overstated.
FRANKIE: Yeah a born leader. Listen I'll follow....
JACK: Look Francois....
SUDDENLY BOTH THEIR DOORS OPEN AND THE GUARDS BRING THEM A TRAY EACH. JACK GOES STRAIGHT INTO THEIR PLAN.JACK: Oh this looks goo.... oh my go.... it's the music, can you hear it?
JACK KNOCKS THE TRAY AGAINST THE WALL AND BEGINS TO SPIN AND ACT LIKE A CRAZY PERSON. HE GRABS THE GUARD AND STARTS TO DANCE WITH HIM AND SING.JACK: She's lovely, absolutely lovely, nothing can compare to the loveliness of you. Just absolutely scrumptious.... tall and tanned and young and lovely, the girl from Impanema goes walking and when he's walking, the girls they all go....
FRANKIE'S GUARD HEARS JACK GOING NUTS AND RUNS TO HELP. AS HE SLAMS THE DOOR, FRANKIE STOPS IT CLOSING PROPERLY. THE GUARD RUNS INTO JACK'S ROOM.
JACK: Oh couple's dance, alright, here we go. You lead, no, I'll lead.
HE GRABS THE SECOND GUARD.
JACK: Come on help me.
FRANKIE MANAGES TO GET OUT OF THE ROOM.FRANKIE: Way to go Spanky.
SCENE THREE: FRANKIE GET TO THE GARAGE AND HOT WIRES POLDY'S VINTAGE CAR AND GETS AWAY. HE SETS OFF THE ALARM.
SCENE FOUR: MEANWHILE BACK IN JACK'S CELL, THE GUARDS HEAR THE ALARM.
JACK: Oh couples again. Oh, here we go.
GUARD: Let's settle him down.
JACK: Here we go, here we go again.
THEY THROW HIM ON THE BED AND RUN OUT. JUST AS THE PULL THE DOOR SHUT, HE PUSHES HIS HAND IN THE WAY TO PREVENT IT LOCKING.
JACK: Ouch! Here we go.
JACK MANAGES TO ESCAPE TOO.
SCENE FIVE: BACK IN HER BEDROOM LAWRENCE TELLS JENNIFER THAT SHE IS NOW IS WIFE AND SHE MUST OBEY HIM. HE SLAPS HIM AND ACCUSES HIM OF RAPING HER. HE DENIES IT AND SAYS THAT SHE ASKED FOR IT. HE FORCES HER WEDDING RING BACK ON HER FINGER. HE TELLS HER FROM NOW ON SHE MUST DO EXACTLY WHAT HE SAYS, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. LAWRENCE LEAVES HER ROOM AND GREGORY TELLS HIM THAT BO AND CARLY HAVE DEFINITELY LEFT SALEM HEADING FOR HIS COUNTRY.
SCENE SIX: FRANKIE DRIVES TO THE PLACE HE IS SUPPOSED TO MEET JACK. HE GETS OUT OF THE CAR AND WAITS.
SCENE SEVEN: AT THE VILLA, JENNIFER CHANGES AND RUNS OUTSIDE FOR FRESH AIR. SHE IS STANDING LOOKING AT THE WEDDING RING WHEN SHE HEARS JACK CALL HER.
JACK: Jennifer!.... Jennifer, over here.
JENNIFER: Jack? Jack is that really you?
HE WAVES HIS COAT AT HER FROM BEHIND THE BUSHES. THEN THEY RUN TOWARDS EACH OTHER. JENNIFER CHECKS HERSELF, AND THEN PUTS ON AN ACT, WORRIED WHAT LAWRENCE WOULD DO IF HE FOUND THEM TOGETHER. THROUGHOUT THEIR CONSERVATIONS, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT SHE IS ACHING TO BE WITH HIM; BUT HER FEAR OF LAWRENCE IS MORE POWERFUL. IT BREAKS HER HEART TO HURT JACK.
JENNIFER: Jack, you're really here?
JACK: Of course I'm really here. I was a little bit detained but better late than never.
JENNIFER: That's alright.
JACK: No it's not alright but tell me what happened with the wedding. I mean you were supposed to tell Lawrence and then he was supposed to let you go. And you're supposed to be gone by now.
JENNIFER: I know but there's a few things that you need to know.
JACK: No, there's a few things Lawrence needed to know. You did tell.... you didn't tell him. You didn't tell him did you?
JENNIFER: I didn't have to tell him. You see he already knew that I wasn't Katerina.
JACK: He knew.
JENNIFER: He knew everything. You, me, he knew the whole time. He told me right before the wedding.
JACK: Well.... he.... he must have been mad. I mean he was.... I mean upset, furious. Did he do anything?
JENNIFER: No.
JACK: Good, good.
JENNIFER: He didn't do anything.
JACK: Let's get out of her before he does.
JENNIFER: I can't. I can't go.
JACK: Yes you can! Look don't.... if it's the guards you're worried about, don't. We can get past them.
JENNIFER: It's not that, it's....
JACK: Then what is it?
JENNIFER: It's.... it's because....
JACK: Because....
SHE RAISES HER HAND AND JACK SEES THE WEDDING RING.JACK: (Hurt and unwilling to believe it) Jennifer, you didn't.... you didn't! Jennifer you didn't have to marry the guy. That wasn't part of the plan. You were supposed to tell him and the whole deal was supposed to fall through and you were supposed to be on your way home right now.
JENNIFER: I understand. I realize that but it didn't work out that way.
JACK: Why not? What the hell happened?
JENNIFER: He didn't care if I was Katerina or not. He said that he loved me anyway and he still wanted me to be his wife.
JACK: But that doesn't mean you had to marry him.
JENNIFER: Yes it does.
JACK: Why?
JENNIFER: Just because, that's why.
JACK: Because.... did he threaten you?
JENNIFER: No he didn't threaten me.
JACK: Okay, then why did you have to go through with this?
JENNIFER: I went through with it, that's all that matters now Jack.
JACK: No...I know what it is. You're mad at me right. You're mad because I showed up too late to stop the wedding. And you're so angry with me because I let you down again. Is that right?
JENNIFER: Well that doesn't matter now.
JACK: It matters to me. I was there trying to stop you going down that aisle.
JENNIFER: You were at the wedding?
JACK: Yes. I was at the wedding. But the guards stopped me before I could stop you. Then they locked me up in some room somewhere and I just got out and now I'm here to take you home.
JENNIFER: I already told you, I can't go with you.
JACK: Yes you can!
JENNIFER: Alright I can. But I won't.
JACK: Alright, let's back up. There's something going on here and you're not telling me what it is.
JENNIFER: Jack, no there isn't.
JACK: Jennifer, of course there is. I.... you can't fool me. I know when you're putting on an act.
JENNIFER: I'm not putting on an act. I married Lawrence because I wanted to. There's no other reason Jack.
JACK: You know I don't believe that.JENNIFER: Well you can believe whatever you want, that happens to be fact.
JACK: Jennifer....
LAWRENCE'S VOICE HIS HEARD. JENNIFER IS TERRIFIED.
LAWRENCE: Katerina, are you outside?
JENNIFER: Jack just go before he sees you, okay.
JACK: No, no, I'm not going anywhere. I'm taking you with me.
JENNIFER: No!
SCENE EIGHT: LAWRENCE HAS BEEN CALLING JENNIFER. SHE IS TERRIFIED, NOT WANTING HIM TO SEE HER WITH JACK, FEARING FOR THE CONSEQUENCES.
LAWRENCE: Katerina?
JENNIFER: Jack if he sees you it will just cause more trouble. Just go.
JACK: You know I'll.... I'll be back. I'm right here.
JACK RUNS AROUND BEHIND THE GARDEN WALL TO HIDE AGAIN. LAWRENCE COMES OUT LOOKING FOR HER.
LAWRENCE: Katerina there you are. I was beginning to worry when you called and you didn't answer.
JENNIFER: I'm sorry. I'm guess I'm still not used to being called Katerina.
LAWRENCE: Well get used to it. Because that's who you are from now on, Katerina Alamain, my wife.
JACK HEARS THIS AND IS PUZZLED. LAWRENCE KISSES HER AND LAWRENCE SENSES THAT SHE IS DISTRACTED. THIS DIGUSTS JENNIFER, BUT SHE IS TOO WORRIED FOR JACK'S SAFETY TO SAY ANYTHING. IT HURTS HER, KNOWING THAT JACK IS WATCHING, AND HOW HE MUST FEELING, GETTING THE WRONG IMPRESSION ABOUT HER AND LAWRENCE.
LAWRENCE: Is something wrong?
JENNIFER: No, nothing's wrong at all.
LAWRENCE: Are you sure, you seem uneasy.
JENNIFER: If I am it's just because I would like to have more time with you. It is our honeymoon after all.
LAWRENCE: You don't have to remind me. I haven't forgotten. I'm just glad you haven't. I wasn't sure how you'd feel about the other evening.
JENNIFER: I want to make our marriage work Lawrence, in every way.
LAWRENCE: So do I.
JACK IS NOW COMPLETELY CONFUSED BY ALL THIS. LAWRENCE THEN TELLS JENNIFER THAT HE HAS BUSINESS TO CONDUCT AND SHE HAPPILY GOES INSIDE WITH HIM. HE KISSES HER CHEEK AND THEY GO BACK IN THE VILLA. JACK WATCHES, HURT AND CONFUSED, AS SHE WALKS AWAY WITH LAWRENCE.
SCENE NINE: BACK INSIDE, GREGORY TELLS LAWRENCE IS TOLD THAT THE "GUESTS" HAVE ESCAPED. LAWRENCE REALIZES WHY JENNIFER WAS ACTING THE WAY SHE WAS. HE WONDERS IF SHE HELPED THEM ESCAPE. HE WANTS "THE GUEST" FOUND.
SCENE TEN: JACK STARTS TO RUN TOWARDS THE PLACE WHERE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO MEET FRANKIE. HOWEVER, NO ONE IS THERE.
JACK: Oh I should spend more time in that gym. Ouch! Come on Francois, where the hell are you? It's me, hey, it's me, your pal Jasper. Come on out of the bushes. Oh I can't stay around here. The neighbors may not be friendly. Okay, I'll have to hot leg it back.
SCENE ELEVEN: BACK IN SALEM, SHANE HAS HELPED KAYLA TRACK DOWN WHO MIGHT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR STEVE'S DEATH. UPON SEEING SOME VIDEOS THEY REALIZE THAT IT IS SOMEONE CALLED "LAWRENCE ALAMAIN." THEY DECIDE TO TRAVEL TO THE VILLA TO SEE LAWRENCE.MEANWHILE, AT THE SAME TIME, JULIE IS WORRIED BECAUSE ALICE HAS NEVER COME HOME AND THERE IS NO NEWS OF JENNIFER. SHE DOES HER OWN INVESTIGATING. SHE THEN OFFERS VICTOR A IF HE HELPS HER. WHEN SHE FINDS OUT ABOUT LAWRENCE. SO SHE DECIDES TO LEAVE FOR THE VILLA TOO.THEY ALL WANGLE THEMSELVES AN INVITATION TO POLDY'S BIRTHDAY PARTY AND BOARD THE SAME PLANE.
SCENE TWELVE: NEAR THE VILLA, JACK HAS BEEN RUNNING ALL NIGHT, UNABLE TO FIND "FRANCOIS"; HE IS EXHAUSTED, AND COLLAPSES TO THE GROUND TO SLEEP.
JACK: Francois, is that you?
EXHAUSTED, HE FALLS ASLEEP IN THE BUSHES.
SCENE THIRTEEN: MEANWHILE, FRANKIE HAS GONE TO THE POLICE ASKING FOR HELP BUT THEY SEEM TO BE DELAYING HIM FOR NO REASON. HE BEGINS TO THINK THEY ARE ON LAWRENCE'S PAYROLL.
