notes 2010
sorry
for not working on the page. my mother passed
away thanksgiving morning, after a long battle with
parkinson's disease; with dealing with her illness,
her unsuspected death, and the holidays
i let the page go. i hope to start back working on the
page again, adding more ghmaterial, revising
tjds scripts and videos, plus other new
material. however, in march my father and i will
be taking a big trip overseas to wind down after everthing
-- we have not been able to travel for the past several
years -- so it probably will not be until april that
i begin to work full-time on adding new material
on a regular basis.
hopefully 2010 is a much better year for everyone, and
there will be plenty of new and exciting matt sightings
and events about which to report.

aplastic anemia and matthew's firing in 1993,
the articles were first posted years ago but somehow
got deleted. even though the events occurred over
sixteen years ago, what matthew had to say about
jack and the show is very interesting, and topical,
still.

Matt
stars as a high school basketball coach
in this indie flick, Winning Favor,
about high school basketball teams from
Orange City, Iowa which won the state's
boys high school basketball championship
in 2005. In the News 4 Sioux City website,
Matt states , "I looked at it
and its really a lot of great things in
it, and I said ok I'd love to get behind
this. A chance to play a new and different
role, I'd been playing this one character
Jack Devereaux [sic] on Days of Our
Lives for the better part of 20
years, and one thing he has never been is
a coach."
